Darrell and Shanna Barefoot live in the small town of Coats, North Carolina. Darrell works as a car salesman, while Shanna is retired from working in the school system. They have four adult children and a daughter-in-law. Shanna and Darrell live with their four adorable labs and rescue dog.
Throughout the years, the Barefoot family has had many breeds of dogs, but have always had a special love of labs. Upon Shanna’s retirement, she decided to fulfill a lifelong dream to breed Labrador Retrievers. Our labs are part of our family and all of our puppies are raised in our home from day one, receiving all the love and attention we give our own labs.
Our goal is to raise the healthiest puppies we can with the best possible start to life. We do this by making sure they have quality bloodlines with great temperament and good looks, as well as having their parents health tested for genetic conditions. Our labs have Championship lines in both show ring and field in their pedigrees, meaning they will make great hunting companions and/or show dogs. However, we find that many families simply want a lab to have as a furry addition to their family, which is why we raise our puppies as we would raise our own labs: with love, hugs, and lots of play time.
